The first thing that inspired me to buy this sun tanning lamp is the convenience. I used to go to a tanning salon but found it difficult to make the time to get there regularly.

The second thing that made me want to buy this sun lamp is the savings. Although there is a larger upfront cost, you definitely end up saving money in the long run. After about 6 months, it's already paid for itself. Also, my husband can use it when he wants at no additional cost. It just seems like a no-brainer to us.

The adjustable stand is easy to set up and makes it easy to adjust the angle of the lamp depending on whether you place it on the floor to do your lower body or put it on a counter or chair to do your upper body.

The device comes with instructions regarding how long to use it and how far away to stand. I highly recommend following these instructions carefully so you don't burn your skin. I am very fair skinned and by following the instructions for my skin type, I haven't burned at all.

The lamp has a very helpful timer so you can set it for the recommended time and avoid accidentally using it for too long. It also comes with one pairs of protective goggles for your eyes so you don't have to purchase them useparately.

I make sure to use indoor tanning lotion beforehand to moisturize my skin. Then, I use an after-sun cooling spray on my body and rosewater spray on my face afterward. That seems to help cool down my skin and prevent any dryness from the sun lamp.

When used regularly, such as two to three times a week, I get a nice little glow. Also, I find it really helpful for eczema and depression. My skin seems to stay clearer when I use the device consistently, and I also notice that I have fewer dips in my mood.

I work from home and don't get outside nearly enough, so I can supplement my sun time with this device. It's also great for those rainy days or the winter when seasonal affective depression starts to set in.

It took me a while to decide to purchase due to the price, but let me tell you.. its worth EVERY PENNY! I work from home so I am indoors pretty much all day. We already had a Soweto vitamin D lamp, but my son wanted something he could tan with so we purchased the KTS sunlamp. It worked great for him until he quit following the directions for time and distance that are posted on the back of lamp. As a result, he burnt his back. It did not blister or peel thankfully and hopefully he learned his lesson. Im grateful to KTS for making a product to promote vitamin D levels.

This is a great way to catch some beneficial rays when the sun takes a seasonal break. I always say that I am solar powered, and getting some help to recharge is always a plus for me. I waited to submit a review until I used it, since I am outdoors frequently weather permitting. Also, this is mine, and I dont have to deal with tanning in a tanning bed used by strangers. No making appointments, and leaving the house when weather conditions are not to my liking is also a welcome bonus!

Read the instructions on how to tan. I didnt and I got a little red a couple of times. After I read the instructions and followed them, I have a really pretty tan. Highly recommend for home use.
